Western American Studies Minor

The Western American Studies program is designed to offer students a multicultural, interdisciplinary experience with an emphasis on community involvement. Any student with space for a minor can tailor the Western American Studies minor to fit his/her needs as classes are available in six departments and students have the option to petition for other courses. Additionally, the experiential learning requirement can be catered to the student’s own interests.

Example Minor Designs

The Western American Studies Minor allows for real flexibility within course options. Below are examples of curricula, each with a different focus. There are roughly 12,650 combinations of the minor, barring conflicts, course availability, and substitutions.
