Dr. Ashley J. Campbell holds Bachelor and Master degrees in
Biology, and a Doctor of Education degree in Curriculum and Instruction with
a specialization in Science Education from Texas Tech
University. Dr.
Campbell is certified in Composite Science, and prior to her graduate work,
she taught Biology I, Physics I, and Physical Science in the public high
school. Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor in the Division of
Education at West Texas A&M University (WTAMU), where she teaches
Educational Psychology and Science Methods. Prior to her work at WTAMU, she
served as the Director of the Science Education and Career
Center at the University
of Texas at Arlington. While at UTA, she taught in the
Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Science program. Dr. Campbell also
directed a grant at UTA designed to equip science teachers with strategies
for supporting girls in science. The Dallas Womens Foundation and the Women of Texas Instruments funded this work.
