Education:


Ph.D. in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic University. 
MBA from Cornell University.  Emphasis on operations management.
BS from the US Military Academy.  General engineering curriculum (chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical).

 

Employment:


Approximately 10 years in HR Management, mostly with Caterpillar and GE, prior to entering Academe.  Some additional experience in sales and manufacturing.  5+ years teaching graduate and undergraduate HR courses within the State University of New York’s (SUNY’s) Institute of Technology.  Online, adjunct teaching experience with SUNY Empire State College and with St. Joseph’s College in Maine.  Dean experience at Regents College (now Excelsior College), Hudson Valley Community College, and Education Management Corporation.  Also ad hoc consulting work.

The strategic implications technology and global competition have for U.S. higher education.  Also the pricing premium attributable to corporate reputation.

 

Other Interests:
